Former military lawyer David McBride has given up his fight against charges he broke the law by leaking classified material to journalists by pleading guilty to three charges.

The ACT Supreme Court heard he had been concerned about the over-investigation of special forces troops in Afghanistan.  

David joined ABC Drive's Ross Solly to discuss what his next steps will be.
