Trauma Teddies are handmade to give to kids
Trauma Teddies have been hand made by volunteers across Australia since the 1990s(ABC Canberra: Rania Yallop)

Since the 1990s, the Red Cross has been working with volunteers to make "Trauma Teddies", which are given to kids who are having a tough time, in hospital or natural disaster areas.

One Monday a month, volunteers from the Red Cross Trauma Teddies group in Canberra meet to put the finishing touches on the teddies.

ABC Canberra Producer Rania Yallop went along to 'Finishing School'.
